Jesuit Colleges & Universities Welcome Class of 2021 to Campus

Across the country, members of the class of 2021 are moving onto Jesuit campuses and beginning a new chapter in their lives as college students. For several schools, the class of 2021 is their largest freshman class ever. Read on for highlights from move-in week, including videos and photos of the newest Jesuit-educated students on our campuses! [Note: Santa Clara University and Seattle University are both on the quarter system and will host move-in week events later this month. Loyola Marymount University introduced its new executive vice president and provost, Dr. Thomas Poon, to campus through a new video featuring students, faculty and staff. Just days later, Dr. Poon participated in a live chat on Facebook for new students; click here to see a recorded version online.

What did the incoming freshmen listen to on their way into Rockhurst University? A custom Spotify playlist! Rockhurst students and alumni created a "rockin'" playlist; songs include 'We Will Rock You,' 'Rock the Casbah' and 'Rock Around the Clock'!

Move-in Days in the News

Creighton University's freshman class was recently profiled in The Omaha World-Herald; the class of 2021 is the University's largest class in its history. Fordham University's Urban Plunge program was featured on News12 The Bronx; the program introduces Fordham freshmen to the local community through community service. Local DC blog The Georgetowner covered Georgetown University's move-in week, which included projects and events to engage students with the Georgetown neighborhood. Milwaukee's CBS affiliate was on campus at Marquette University to cover move-in day, which included the last group of students to move into McCormick Hall. And in Scranton, PA, the University of Scranton's move-in day and related orientation events were featured on three local news affiliates: Fox 56WBRE News and ABC 16.
