2016 AJCU Lenten Resource Guide

This Lenten season, Jesuit colleges and universities are offering a number of services and retreats, as well as online resources for prayer and meditation. In addition, our friends from other Jesuit organizations are offering online resources to help you grow in your faith this season. This list will continue to be updated throughout Lent. Creighton University's popular Online Ministries website and Xavier University's Jesuit Resource website feature daily prayers, online retreats and other educational materials on Lent. Georgetown University is offering online Lenten Daily Devotionals, which are available as e-newsletters, while Saint Louis University's Office of Mission and Ministry is offering daily reflections online. The College of the Holy Cross website offers suggestions of books and other readings to reflect on the meaning of Lent.

This season, Boston College has launched "GodPods": a podcast series on Lent from the institution's Church in the 21st Century Center. Marquette University is promoting "40 ways to reignite your faith during Lent" in its popular blog on Medium. The office of campus ministry at John Carroll University is sponsoring a number of educational programs in observance of Lent this year. Loyola University New Orleans is sponsoring a Lenten Lecture series that coincides with Pope Francis’ Year of Mercy.

All three campuses of Fordham University will host Masses, prayer services and Stations of the Cross throughout Lent. Calendars for prayer services and Masses are also available online for the following schools: Gonzaga University, Le Moyne College, Loyola University Chicago, Rockhurst University, Saint Joseph’s University, Santa Clara University, Seattle University, the University of Scranton and Wheeling Jesuit University.

Our friends across the Jesuit and Catholic networks offer many online resources to guide you during this Lenten season in preparation for Easter: Ignatian Solidarity Network, Jesuit Collaborative, Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States, Loyola Press and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
