Conference Mission Statement: (From conference by-laws) The AJCU Conference for Pastoral, Theological and Ministerial Education, founded in 2010, is comprised of faculty, staff and administrators in programs at Jesuit universities which offer degrees in ministry, pastoral counseling, spiritual direction, and related fields of pastoral and/or practical theology. In the Ignatian tradition, we gather to discern best practices and exchange research, develop shared pedagogical strategies, collaborate on initiatives, and discuss the unique priorities of the Jesuit heritage in forming professionals to serve the church, academy, and world. We remain committed to advocating for those in positions of marginalization or exclusion, whether that be among our own networks, or among the communities our students and colleagues serve. Conference members meet annually each February in association with the wider Association of Graduate Programs in Ministry.
Members of the AJCU Conference for Pastoral, Theological and Ministerial Education are asked to pay dues to support the work of the Conference. Click here to pay online.
