INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER/SERVICE/IMMERSION PROGRAMS

Mexico

  • This is a 2 week program. Habitat for Humanity Global Village experiences: These trips have involved students and a faculty adviser who have worked with Mexican future home owners under the direction of local Habitat for Humanity coordinators and volunteers. In each case we have completed at least one home during our stay. In some cases, we have lived in a nearby small hotel and in others we have actually lived in the village and with other Habitat families. About 12-13 participate in this program.

Highlighted Program:

Gonzaga-in-Florence (year/semester/summer) integrates traveling to numerous countries with the in Florence academic program, including both Europe and Africa. . The program offers more than 50 business and humanities courses and provides an on-site library with more than 50,000 volumes. The faculty is comprised of professors from Gonzaga University and universities in Florence all of whom have their terminal degrees. All students are expected to either have prior Italian language courses or study Italian on the program.
