Requirements for studying abroad: Sophomore standing, 2.5 GPA, Students on disciplinary probation are not eligible to study abroad
Financial aid available: Federal financial aid may be portable for any approved study abroad program
Institutional financial aid may only be portable for Encuentro Dominicano, ISEP-Exchange, Sophia University, Mannheim University, and University of Limerick.
Other student services available (i.e.- insurance, housing, etc.):International Student Identity Cards (ISIC) are offered through the Office of International Programs

Core Curriculum Requirements: Six (6) credits in one language at 100 level if learning it for the first time or three (3) hours at 200 level with previous knowledge of that language.

The Institute for Latin American Concern (ILAC) in the Dominican Republic is an international, Christian, Ignatian-inspired, collaborative health care and educational organization that exists to promote the integral well-being and spiritual growth of all its participants. Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Law students and faculty participate in short-term programs focusing on service, immersion, and reflection either in the Spring or in the Summer.
- The Intensive English Language Institute (IELI) curriculum is designed to meet the English language needs of students who want to enter the university at the undergraduate or graduate level. At the IELI, students develop the speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills that are necessary for academic success while gaining insights into various aspects of U.S. culture.
FACULTY EXCHANGE/COOPERATIVE RESEARCH
In 2006-07, more than 280 of Creighton's faculty and staff have traveled or are scheduled to travel abroad for professional reasons-to participate in conferences, conduct research, teach, lead a FLPA, engage in volunteer work, or recruit students. They have visited or will visit over 50 countries, including Australia; Bolivia; Cambodia; Canada; China; Costa Rica; Cuba; Dominican Republic; Ecuador; Egypt; El Salvador; England; France; Germany; Ghana; Greece; Honduras; India; Ireland; Israel; Italy; Japan; Jordan; Kenya; Korea; Kuwait; Mexico; New Zealand; Peru; Poland; South Africa; Spain; Turkey; Ukraine, and the United Arab Emirates.
OTHER PROGRAMS OR INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES:
Eligible Creighton students are encouraged to apply to a variety of scholarships and fellowships for study overseas. The Fulbright, Gilman, Rotary, and the NSEP Boren scholarships and fellowships are not country-specific, whereas others are. The Bosch, Congress Bundestag, DAAD, and German Chancellor awards are available for those who want to study in Germany. For students interested in going to East/Southeast Asia, the Freeman Asia and the Bridging Scholarships are offered. Students can also apply for British prestigious scholarships, such as the Marshall and the Rhodes.
