AJCU works with a number of coalitions nation-wide to continue to build the best support for federal student aid. Below are a few organizations in which AJCU remains most active:

Student Aid Alliance

The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities is an active member of the Student Aid Alliance, which is a coalition of over 60 higher education associations and groups that lobby for and decide the higher education budget priorities for each year in addition to lobbying on federal student aid. Students can contact Members of Congress and lobby for funding for student aid through the Alliance website: http://www.studentaidalliance.org

Committee for Education Funding (CEF)

The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities is an active member of the Committee for Education Funding which is a non-profit, non-partisan education coalition comprised of over 100 education national associations. CEF is the definitive coalition that lobbies exclusively on the budget and appropriations for all of education. AJCU Vice President for Federal Relations, Cynthia Littlefield, is a former President of CEF and currently sits on the Board of Directors for 2013. | http://www.cef.org

Foundation for Education Investment

Foundation for Education Investment (FEI) is a 501(c)(3) arm of the Committee for Education Investment. The purpose of FEI is to provide research and data on the success and viability of federal education programs. In December of 2012, FEI and CEF issued a joint polling data which overwhelming showed that a vast majority of Americans did not want to cut education because of the potential of Sequestration. Cynthia Littlefield is the current Chair of the Board of FEI.
