REQUIREMENTS FOR A NURSING MAJOR (126 semester hours of which 64 are in nursing)
LOWER DIVISION NURSING CREDIT
Satisfied by R.N. licensure that is a pre-requisite for the BSN program.
RN students are granted 39 credits for their lower division nursing courses, which are earned through diploma programs or associate degree programs. These credits are placed in escrow upon entering the RN to BSN program. When a student successfully completes 12 credit hours in the nursing major (with a C or higher grade), the 39 credits come out of escrow and are credited to the student’s official transcript. This applies to both associate degree and diploma RNs.
