Jesuit campuses in the United States are responding to the complex reality of globalization in dynamic ways. They are developing many strategies for internationalizing teaching, learning, and indeed, operating. To that end, the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) distributed a survey (results can be found in the International Education Resource Book) in September 2006 to all 28 member institutions in order to gather data as a basis for a preliminary analysis of 'how we are doing.'
This analytical overview cannot do justice to the broad range of activities and accomplishments on all 28 campuses; however, it does provide ample evidence of how AJCU institutions are becoming more international, and very importantly, it raises questions about how we can do even better, individually and collaboratively.
