Founded in 1878, Creighton is a vibrant and diverse learning community comprised of nine colleges and schools located in Omaha, Nebraska.

Nationally recognized for providing a challenging and balanced educational experience, the University offers a rigorous academic agenda with a broad range of disciplines, providing more than 7,000 undergraduate, graduate and professional students with degree programs that emphasize education of the whole person -- academically, socially and spiritually.  Creighton is consistently cited for its innovative and cross-disciplinary programs, including research and service opportunities.

The University’s nine colleges and schools include the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, Graduate School, and Schools of Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Health Professions and University College. The School of Medicine has an auxiliary campus at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix as well as an educational affiliation with the Alegent Creighton Health system in Nebraska and Iowa. In addition to its innovative on-campus educational programs, Creighton offers the first, and only, distance-based Doctor of Pharmacy degree; the interdisciplinary Doctorate of Education Program in Leadership (Ed.D.);  and master’s degrees in security analysis and portfolio management (MSAPM), negotiation and dispute resolution, public health (MPH), medical anthropology and emergency medical services (EMS). 

Creighton participates in 14 NCAA Division I sports. Its athletic teams have a reputation for being as strong on the court and field as they are in the classroom. Creighton student-athletes are consistently honored by the Missouri Valley Conference and NCAA for academic achievement.
