CADE Training Services

A two-hour on-campus presentation that provides an overview of the CADE model and illustrates how CADE workshop participants proceed through the model's competencies to evidence to tasks course design process. These presentations are intended to be highly interactive, and faculty attendees are encouraged to inquire about and discuss pedagogical approaches appropriate for their own course disciplines.

Six-Week Online CADE Workshop for Course Design (Scheduled during fall, spring and summer)

A six-week, entirely-online CADE workshop for 15 faculty participants from many AJCU institutions to design a competency-based on-campus or online course. Each workshop participant will prepare a 25+ page portfolio that consists of six worksheets and accompanying narratives. The portfolio reinforces the CADE design process and provide an excellent building block for subsequent course production and implementation.

In addition to the above free CADE training venues, JesuitNET will also offer under contract a hybrid on-campus/online CADE workshop for up to 15 faculty members from a single AJCU institution. The workshop opens with a two-day on-campus session to lead participants through the CADE methodologies and begin their preparation of the design portfolio's initial worksheets and narratives. During a subsequent five-week period, JesuitNET continues the CADE workshop in its proven online environment, working with workshop faculty in asynchronous discussion spaces, and assisting their completion of the remaining portfolio worksheets and narratives for their courses. A concluding one-day on-campus JesuitNET-led session is  held for faculty to present their course designs, and to prepare for subsequent production of their courses.
