Alpha Sigma Nu, the honor society of Jesuit colleges and universities, announces the four winners for the 25th annual National Jesuit Book Awards in the category of Professional Studies.  The awards are administered by the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU).

Gay Seattle: Stories of Exile and Belonging (University of Washington Press, 2003) by Gary L. Atkins (Professor of Communication, Seattle University)

Religion and the Constitution (Aspen Publishers, Inc., 2002) by Jon H. Garvey (Dean, Boston College Law School with co-authors Michael W. McConnell (University of Utah College of Law) and Thomas C. Berg (University of St. Thomas Law School in Minneapolis)

Risk Management and Error Reduction in Aviation Maintenance (Ashgate Publishing Company 2003) by Manoj S. Patankar, Ph.D. (Parks College of Engineering and Aviation, Saint Louis University) and James C. Taylor (Aviation Consultant, Los Altos)

Semblances of Sovereignty: The Constitution, The State, and American Citizenship (Harvard University Press, 2002) by T. Alexander Aleinikoff (Professor of Law, Georgetown University)
